At Blossom Gap Farm, we now have a flock of 18 St. Croix Hair Sheep. Hair sheep do not require sheering and adapt very well to hot climates like we have in North Louisiana. Our sheep are very hearty, parasite resistant and make wonderful mothers. Due to their ability to breed year round, we have lambs most of the year.
Below is a picture of our two newest additions - twins born just before New Years! The largest, pictured on the left is a ram lamb and the smaller one on the right is a ewe lamb. Mother is our largest ewe and her babies are always healthy and robust.
We have a wonderful Great Pyrenees Livestock Guardian Dog that watches over our farm, especially at night.
